CAN YOU PUBLISH MY BOOK?
if you formally submit your manuscript during our open submission period, follow the proper guidelines, and we accept your manuscript — yes.
we do not accept unsolicited submissions, and we do not fulfill publishing requests on-demand.
how long do you take to respond to submissions?
depending on how many submissions we receive, we typically take 3 to 6 months to respond. we always send out emails, whether they be acception or rejection emails — so if you haven’t heard from us, it’s because we’re still going through subs! we’re a small team, please have patience with us.
my submission got accepted somewhere else while it was pending with wide eyes…
first off, congrats! second, all you have to do is let us know so we can pull your submission. please do this by responding to the original submission email.
by submitting your work to us, you agree to being aware of the following:
1. by submitting your work, you agree to potentially being published. no contract is required if you submit to our anthologies, magazines, or blog — a submission is a submission, and all information regarding what that means can be accessed from our site. reach out to us if you have any questions.
2. because we do not charge for submissions, we are unable to pay our contributors. we want to make this a goal in the future, but as of right now we don’t have the means.
3. you will always maintain copyright, but Wide Eyes asks that you ask us for permission before republishing your content in another publication, or book. If republished, please make sure the second publication provides credit to Wide Eyes, so that readers and publishers alike know were to locate the first publication of your work —
i.e - “insert poem name here” previously published in Wide Eyes Publishing’s Women Rising anthology
4. we have the right to pull your work from our site, magazine, or anthologies if we find out that you’re problematic. we have zero tolerance for hate speech, hateful people, and abusers.
